FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What does 123 Oxygen contain ?

123Oxygen mainly contains active oxygen components.

How long has 123 Oxygen been on the market ?

We started with this brand in 2003. Nevertheless, the team is ten years old on active oxygen development.

How does 123 Oxygen compare to its competition ?

  • second generation product
  • more stable and more effective.
  • Does not require additional products
  • Simple to use : One sachet of powder poured in the pool every week.

How does 123 Oxygen compare to Chlorine ?

The strong negative effects of chlorine on the body are well known. This is an especially important consideration for kids who spend much more time than adults in pools.123 Oxygen provides an unparalleled level of comfort and will reduce the likelihood of health problems related to prolonged exposure to chlorinated water.

Do you guarantee the effectiveness of 123 Oxygen in my pool ?

No. Each pool is unique and too many factors and variables are involved. The durations and quantities to apply as described in the literature describing 123 Oxygen are given only as guidelines and relate to the average response of a pool. Through your experience, you will quickly learn to optimize the quantities and durations.

Various factors such as high temperatures, storms, or heavy pool use may require the use of 123 Oxygen Shock and 123 Oxygen Super Shock to keep the water crystal clear. Such factors may also require an increase in the quantity of the product used or reducing the interval between two treatments.

How should I adapt the treatments to variations in temperature ?

The following information provides some general guidelines.

If the water temperature is high (above 26 °C, 78°F), if the pool is used frequently, or if there is a high occurrence of storms, both the frequency of treatment and the quantity of product used should be increased.

During cooler weather, with water temperature under 16°C, 60°F, one standard kit can be applied each month, rather than each 15 days.

How does 123 Oxygen compare to salt ?

Salt system pools produce chlorine through electrolysis. Salt corrodes your pool and equipment. Salt-based equipment is costlier to install and require regular maintenance. 123 Oxygen provides superior comfort with no additional outlay at installation time.

Can I use 123 Oxygen after a chlorine or salt treatment ? Can I go back to chlorine or salt after having used 123 Oxygen ?

Yes. Though it is useless to use chlorine or salt together with 123 Oxygen at the same time, it is possible to alternate methods.

What are the advantages of 123Oxygen over bromine or PHMB approaches ?

123 Oxygen provides higher comfort with no additional cost compared with bromine. Unlike 123 Oxygen, PHMB is not compatible with any other kind of treatment .

Is 123 Oxygen best used in large or smaller pools ?

It is equally well-suited to both.

What safety precautions should be observed ?

Please refer to the product package which contains the full set of approved safety instructions. 123 Oxygen in its concentrated forms should be handled carefully. 123 Oxygen should never be in direct contact with the skin or eyes except when used in your pool at the correct dilution.

123 Oxygen should never be stored in humid places.

In case of accidental skin contact with 123 Oxygen Shock, immediately rinse thoroughly with clear water and follow instructions placed on the packaging.

How do I get rid of “green water” ?

When pool water is green, it indicates that algae and bacteria have probably developed. This is common when the pool has not been carefully monitored, or in case of high temperatures, frequent storms, or heavy use.

  • Physically remove as much organic material as possible (algae, tree leaves, dead animals or insects, etc.).
  • Use 123Oxygen Super Shock to shock the water : Double the dose if some algae have developed (plants).
  • Filter and remove destroyed organic material.
  • 24/24h Filtering (don’t forget to wash your filter since it will get dirty very rapidly)
  • Restart with Tranquiility 15 once the water is crystal clear and all the inner boundary of your pool walls are clean.

This whole process should last about 2 days.

What should I do if the walls of my pool are sticky ?

Be very careful with your pool’s water quality. Sticky walls indicate that algae are starting to develop in your pool. A shock with 123 Oxygen Super Shock should be sufficient.
